World’s Greatest Drag Race 4

Once in a while, Motor Trend Magazine will gather up some of the best new performance cars on an airfield and conduct a drag race in them to find out how they compare in a straight line. For their latest race, they had all 10 contenders from Motor Trend’s 2014 Best Driver’s Car which includes the Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW i8, BMW M4, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Ford Fiesta ST, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, Nissan GT-R Nismo, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Subaru WRX STI & Volkswagen Golf GTI lined up on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. Nissan GT-R VS Michelle Jeneke

At the Top Gear Festival Sidney, Jeremy Clarkson challenges Michelle Jeneke to a 100 meter race. Jeremy had picked the Nissan GT-R as his weapon of choice for the race. The Nissan GT-R is one of the fastest accelerating cars on earth and is capable of hitting 100km/h in under 3 seconds but what happens when a very fast car meets a very fast pro hurdler in a 100 metre race? Nissan Offers Deadmau5 A Nyan Cat GT-R

Canadian electronic artist Joel Zimmerman or known as Deadmau5’s ‘Purrari’, a Ferrari 458 Italia with the famous Nyan Cat theme wrap was no more following a ‘Cease and Desist’ order letter from Ferrari. However, things does not seem too bad for Deadmau5 as Nissan had wrapped a Nissan GT-R in the similar lively and had made an offer to Deadmau5 on the car. Underneath the GT-R logo at the back, Nissan’s designers have also added Deadmau5′s mouse logo as a personal touch. Deadmau5 had replied to Nissan’s offer with great interest on the ‘OMFGtr’.

Nissan GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package Sets New Record For The Goodwood Hillclimb

The record of the famous Goodwood Hillclimb was smashed by Nissan at the 2014 Goodwood Festival Of Speed. The record run was made by Nissan GT Academy winner Jann Mardenborough who drove the Nissan GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package up the hill in a staggering 49.27s, setting a new record for supercars on the Goodwood Hillclimb event. Nissan To Enter Le Mans in 2015 with GT-R LM Nismo

 

Following Porsche’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans (24 Heures du Mans) with the Porsche 919 Hybrid, Nissan announced that they will be competing in the LMP1 class of the race in 2015. There are no technical announcements regarding the car itself by Nissan, but it was expected that Nissan will go with hybrid technologies for the powertrain. Nissan did confirmed that it will be named the GT-R LM Nismo. The team of drivers is also still under consideration, but Nissan did mentioned that they are looking at a combination of GT Academy graduates, Japan Super GT series drivers as well as the possibility of an experienced LMP driver for the team. Despite the current intense battle between Audi, Toyota and Porsche, Nissan is confident that Godzilla is capable of running with the pack. Given Nissan’s determination, this should be a great battle to look forward to.

The 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held on 14–15 June 2014.
