Once in a while, Motor Trend Magazine will gather up some of the best new performance cars on an airfield and conduct a drag race in them to find out how they compare in a straight line. For their latest race, they had all 10 contenders from Motor Trend’s 2014 Best Driver’s Car which includes the Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW i8, BMW M4, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Ford Fiesta ST, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, Nissan GT-R Nismo, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Subaru WRX STI & Volkswagen Golf GTI lined up on an abandoned airstrip at El Toro Marine Base to find out which car is the fastest. DMC Mercedes-Benz G500/G65 AMG ‘EXTREM’

German exotic car tuner DMC Tuning had unveiled their latest monster, a 700bhp Mercedes-Benz G-Class known as the DMC G-Class ‘EXTREM’. Based on the Mercedes-Benz G500/G65 AMG, the DMC G-Class ‘EXTREM’ package includes new wider wing fenders and bumpers to give the bold G-Class a more desirable masculine appearance. The DMC G-Class ‘EXTREM’ also receives a new dry carbon rear spoiler to create more downforce and a dry carbon vented front hood to allow the upgraded 700bhp engine to breath well. The DMC G-Class ‘EXTREM’ comes with a choice of forged alloy wheels ranging from 23” to 25” with Pirelli P-Zero tyres for better grip. To match the upgraded exterior and performance, the interior also receives a makeover with exotic materials such as fine leather and carbon fiber.

BMW M4 GTS Prototype Spotted

Two BMW F82 M4 GTS prototype was spotted undergoing testing at the Nürburgring recently. The pair was spotted wearing light camouflage over the new wider front lip spoiler and a new rear wing similar to the one found on the previous BMW E92 M3 GTS. Both M4 GTS prototype mules were also seen wearing M Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Recaro race bucket seats. One of the mules was also spied with a roll cage in the place of the rear seats.

BMW Welcomes The First BMW M4 In The U.S. With BMW M Initiation

BMW USA welcomes the first BMW F82 M4 Coupe in the United States by drifting a Austin Yellow 2014 BMW F82 M4 around a course made up of 48 famous BMW M models. The video was filmed in the United Stated and all the cars featured in the film are borrowed from local BMW M enthusiasts. The M4 was driven by Matt Mullins, the Chief Driving Instructor for the BMW Performance Driving School as well as Formula Drift Champion Chris Forsberg for the filming. BMW had released footage of their epic Driftmob in Cape Town, South Africa. The video features five Melbourne Red BMW M235i smoking some rubber to draw the attention of the busy crowd at a large roundabout with the help of some experienced stunt drivers like Rhys Millen and Samuel Hübinette. All the driving-scenes are real and the roads were closed for safety reasons.

Two Modified BMW Drift Cars Go Sideways On The Transfagarasan Highway

The Transfaragarsan Highway was named the best driving road in the world by Top Gear. Built in the seventies during the rule of Nicolae Ceaușescu using 6 million kilograms of dynamite, this beautiful road had claimed the lives of 40 builders to complete. Over the years, this road was visited by many enthusiasts in some of the the world’s greatest sports cars and supercars but recently, two skilled drifters had made their way through the mountain pass in their drift machines. The clip, dubbed ‘Ride the Mountains’ features female drifter Ramona Rusu and fellow drifter Gabi Ifrim in a pair of modified BMW E30 3-Series gliding through the mountains sideways. BMW fans in the Netherlands could rejoice as the German marque had released the 2015 BMW M235i Track Edition exclusively for the Holland market. Despite the name ‘Track Edition’, only cosmetic upgrades were applied to the M235i Track Edition which includes a M Performance body kit, black kidney grills, a trunk-mounted lip spoiler, a stainless steel sports exhaust system, and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. The M235i Track Edition also features interior upgrades such as an alcantara-wrapped sport steering wheel with a race display, a carbon fiber/alcantara handbrake lever and aluminum pedals. The M235i Track Edition is powered by the same 3.0 twin-turbo straight six producing 326 PS (240 kW) and 450 Nm (322 lb-ft) of torque and the 8-speed ZF transmission found in a normal BMW M235i, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds and hitting an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. Only 12 units of the BMW M235i Track Edition were built with a price tag of €83,000 each.

BMW have released a new video to introduce their new F82 M4. In the video, a Aurum Dust BMW M4 was seen hooning around an imaginary track on the deck of the USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). While the video was done with the help of CGI, the outcome of the video certainly looks amazing.
