A Volcano Yellow McLaren P1 from Japan had recently crashed into a concrete curb at a highway tollbooth. There is no detailed information on how the accident occurred but from the picture above, the British hypercar appeared to had landed perfectly onto the concrete curb without sustaining much damage. However, due to the P1’s design, the repair bill might still be hefty despite the light damage on the car. It was also reported that the driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident.

The Aston Martin One-77 is one of the most exclusive and expensive Aston Martin ever produced. Only 77 were ever produced with a base price tag of £1.1 million. Buyers were given a wide range of bespoke options and none of the 77 cars produced are identical to each other. Lately, one of the most special One-77s ever produced was spotted outside Aston Martin’s old headquarters in Newport Pagnell. The pearl white One-77 with red leather interior bears the numberplate ‘2 DAV’ and features a unique plaque at the rear window which reads ‘The Last One-77’, making it the last and one of the truly special One-77s ever produced.

Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 Unveiled At Mondial de l’Automobile Officie

Presented at Mondial de l’Automobile 2014 by Stephan Winkelmann, CEO and President of Automobili Lamborghini, the Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 is the first Lamborghini plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology demonstrator of what Lamborghini could achieve using hybrid technology. Thanks to the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology, the Asterion could achieve an impressive figure of CO2 emissions of 98 g/km on the combine cycle and offer up to 50 km of pure electric range. The Asterion is designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile and features the bold lines and design language found on the current line of Lamborghini models. The new glittery Blue Elektra finish further highlight the innovative exterior design. The interior is also very similar to the current line of Lamborghini models but the seats are positioned higher to increase comfort and usability. Lamborghini had also incorporated the usage of exotic materials such as aluminium, forged carbon fiber, titanium and a two tone leather combination of Bianco Calaeno (ivory) and Marrone Attis (brown) into the interior to give it a minimalist yet modern look. The Asterion is the powered by a Lamborghini V10 with selective IDS (Iniezione Diretta Stratificata) combined with 3 electric motorslifted to provide a total output of 910bhp. Power is sent to all four wheels via a Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) 7-speeds dual clutch gearbox which could launch the Asterion from 0-100km/h in 3.0s and onto a top speed of 320km/h. Carbo-ceramic brakes are standard to provide stopping power for the raging bull. Stephan Winkelmann further commented that he is not a fan of hybrid technology and natural aspirated engines remain his favorite choice. Therefore, it is likely that the Asterion will remain as a concept for the time being and Lamborghini will not be producing a car with hybrid technology in the near future.

A heavily modified Porsche 911 GT2 from Singapore had crashed on a Malaysian highway last night. The black Porsche participated in the ‘Sepang Drag Battle’ drag racing event held in Sepang International Circuit last night and met its fate as it traveled down the highway upon leaving the event. The crash occurred at 2.15am GMT+8 on the SPRINT Expressway where both the Singaporean driver Kwek Kun Chon and the Singaporean passenger Franco Toh were killed on the scene. It is believed that the Porsche was travelling at high speed before the driver lost control of the vehicle where it then spun and crashed into the guardrail. The rescue team had to cut the guardrail apart to remove the bodies of the occupants from the car.

Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Italia Rear Ended By Modified Jeep At SEMA 2014

1

A Liberty Walk tuned Ferrari 458 Italia was rear ended by a modified Jeep at SEMA 2014 today outside the exhibition hall. The action was caught on video and was uploaded to Instagram by user iridestyle. The 15 second clip begins by focusing on the baby blue Liberty Walk Lamborghini Aventador when a loud crunch is heard and the cameraman swings lefts to focus on the baby blue Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Italia where a modified Jeep had rear ended into. The Jeep did not suffered any visible damages but the widebody Ferrari’s rear was badly damaged from the impact. Despite the Ferrari only suffered from cosmetic damages, it may involve an expensive and long repair process where the original Ferrari parts have to be replaced before the Liberty Walk widebody body kit could be riveted onto the car. Liberty Walk’s Kato Wataru further discussed about the incident on his Instagram account ‘During SEMA ending parade, the car beside us hit the rear wing on the LB 458. But nobody got injured and the guy hit our 458 did not do that on purpose. We are happy we had a great time with all people helped us at SEMA. See you guys next year again at SEMA.’
